Interview Tips from Cortex Consulting:
Get ready
for your next interview….
Interview Preparation:
Be prepared for interview, do complete research
for the job applied, about the employer and their expectation. Browse online more
about the organization and its recent activities and achievements.
Understand the current market trends and
compare with the employer performance in the market.
Dress Code:
The first impression you
make on a potential employer is the most important one. The first judgment an
interviewer makes is going to be based on how you look and what you are
wearing. That's why it's always important to dress appropriately for a job
interview.
Get your own
CV prepared:
Do not modify your CV of others, try to draft
your own CV, fine tuned and finalized when YOU are completely confident in your
new document. Finally, a letter of application to accompany
the CV is composed. A great letter can be just as important as a good CV. It is
your real pitch, your showcase, the first thing that is seen and, if crafted
effectively, should arouse enough curiosity to meet you even before the CV is
read.
Be
confident:
Go in with confidence, Listen carefully; be
upbeat, cheerful and approachable. Don’t show your anger; the interviewer may
be ignorant about your disability. Although you may hear statements or sense
attitudes that shock you, stay cool in the interview. What you hear or feel may
convince you that this is not a place you want to work. But you have an
opportunity to give information and change ideas about your disability. If you
have examples that disprove the stated or implied concern, tell them briefly
and, if possible, tie them into the job description you would have.
Take the
Time to Say Thank you:
Taking the time to say thank you after a job
interview not only is good interview etiquette, it reinforces your interest in
the position. Use your thank you letter, as well, to address any issues and
concerns that came up during the interview.
